I'm so so happy!
I came home after being out all day and I was so surprised to find a DHL package on my desk... I at first was skeptical thinking that there was no way the passport could be here already, as its 2 weeks early, and thought that they were writing us wanting more papers etc.. but when Andrew opened it, it was Gareth's Canadian passport!!!!
I was hoping to get his passport in by the 2nd of June, as I'm planning a short trip to the States with my dad, bro and sister on the 6th, but obviously wouldn't have been able to go had the passport come in late. I'm so so relieved and happy!

Camping trip coming up with our whole home going... except me and little Gareth.. we can't survive without electricity at this point, how will we pump? ... no; there is more to it then that... camping with a newborn isn't the vision.

Andrew's Laptop is no where to be found... He took it out with us on my birthday and it sat in the excursion parked at both the restaurant and the cinema. And surprisingly the laptop bag was still there. The bag contained a lot of our important papers as Andrew had used it when running around doing Gareth's paperwork, so I know its the Lord's mercy on us that that wasn't taken too.
One's laptop is hard to have stolen, I'm praying the Lord will provide another one for him, and even better one!

Happy Birthday Jason & Mark! We share the same birthday...
Gia and Andrew took Mark and I out to lunch and the movies... that night we met up at there place for a little get together, thus the tired looking photo above.

- Gareth - Thursday, May 15, 2008

Gareth is now 6 weeks old!
Habits -
Sleeping; he is in a pretty good routine at the moment, he wakes up to eat at 1am, 4am and 8am give or take a half an hour. He sleeps in his little Moses basket beside our bed, he stirs and I give him the pacifier to distract him while I pump, then he feeds, burps gets his diaper change then back into the basket he goes. I'm very thankful that I don't need to rock him or pat him back to sleep, I just lay him on his side, cover him and thats it!
I'm slowly starting to get use to having to wake up at night, its been 6 weeks of interrupted sleep and I'm still sane thank the Lord.

Next thing I would like to work on with him is putting him to sleep at the same time everyday for quiet time and night time, I think the earlier I get him into a good sleeping pattern the better and then I'll be able to better schedule my time as it would be nice to start having a little time to myself in the evenings (after the kids are down) again. I'm thankful though that he seems to know when its night time, as he does sleep at night waking up just to feed. I remember when Gavin was a newborn we were at wits end as he would sleep most all of the day and be up a lot at night, I didn't know what to do with him to get him to switch his days with the nights. So with Gareth he seems to know, TTL! (hope I'm not speaking to soon on this one, ha)

I'm back to work now, trying to get things done between taking care of Gareth, I'm sure as he gets into set nap times in the morning and afternoon I'll be able to know exactly what time I have to work with.

- Stroller Hunt - Tuesday, May 13, 2008

After my Mexico city trip I'm now actively looking into a stroller, I'm thinking about this one here (pictured left) the reviews are good on it and seems to have good features.
Contours Options 3 wheeler stroller

Just wondered if any of you mom's out there had anything to say on this one, or have a stroller that they 'just love and can't live without' that they would like to suggest to me instead.
I'm not yet set on this one, but am seriously thinking about it.
Found it at Babies r us for $139 usd.

- Seat easily reverses
- Infant car seat attachment
- Seat reclines fully
- Easy trigger levers & free-stand fold stands upright
- Height adjustable 5 pt harness with reflective trim

- Wedding Trip - Thursday, May 08, 2008

A Couple of pic's from my trip to Mexico City for John and Mya's wedding. Unfortunately Andrew wasn't able to accompany me due to home responsibilities, so it was just Gareth and I. (Many thanks to our home for letting me attend!)
I don't currently have a stroller so went without, boy did I regret that, Gareth was a little fuss pot there due to a number of reasons, so I ended up hardly taking any photos but these as he had to be carried everywhere.
Thanks to Joyanna and Angie that helped me a number of times with him so I could make myself something to eat, sterilize his bottles etc.

Fine looking Men - Jorden (of Shelly) & Jason (of Nash)

Fine dinning; the CTC pulled together an amazing dinner, pictured above is my dinner table, you could pick your own seating so ate with friends.
